Hi everyone:
Can anybody tell me when horizontal ribbed 40' box cars were produced?
Thanks
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
I imagine you're asking about the C. M. St. P. & P. cars?
Here's a little primer.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for the links. Lots of interesting information.
My main concern was that they were built before the late 50s so that obviously is taken care of.
I have a bid in on eBay for five Roundhouse undecorated kits so I wanted to know what I was getting.
All the best!
Glad to be of some help, Dave.
Even as a little tyke I remember being able to spot those unique Milwaukee Road cars in a train and pointing to them telling my dad, "Hey! Milarkey Road!"
Hope you enjoy your kits...

Cute!
When I was little I called hospitals "sawmiddles". My mother delighted in never letting me forget!
I won the auction. They should be here any day.
I am having a bit of a time finding Milwaukee Road decals. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?

I enjoy periodically going through Ebay listings for HO trains. Its one way I've learned what various things are available that I may not be aware of. (Hopefully no English teachers here, about the preposition at the end.)
So Ebay is like going to a train show without getting off the couch. Only problem is I got pretty quick to acquire DC locos for my fleet, already large enough, for conversion to DCC and the fun of having various UP loco types.
