Icing Stations in WIsconsin
Posted by Trynn_Allen2 on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 12:30 PM

Hi All,

I am looking for prototype locations of icing stations in Wisconsin.  I know of one that was in Milwaukee for the Milw, CNW had one in Oshkosh, and Soo had one at Stevens Point.  Any others?

Many division points had icing facilities - The CB&Q had one at North La Crosse, WI.  Reefers needed to topped off per the shipper instructions...

There is a photo of Portage Wisc in the Summer 2012 issue of Classic Trains. They Show an Icehouse so I would assume they iced reefers there.
