No problem. Interesting how often that old Walthers book, that I bought for I think a dollar 35 years ago, comes in handy!
The second reply to my post found no ambiguity in it and answered my question with exactly what I needed to know. I thanked him. Thanks again, wjstix!
JOHN BRUCE III wjstix According to my old Walthers "Passenger Car Plans" book, the C&NW 60' Utility Combines were numbered 7427-7439, and the 60' Utility Coaches were numbered 3211-3257. Many thanks. I truly appreciate factual responses to clearly expressed queries!

Not so clearly expressed:
"I want to letter them with Microscale C&NW passenger decals, but I can't find the number series for the C&NW coaches and combines."
At the beginning of the sentence you were asking about decals. If you had said ...., but I don't know the correct number series for these C&NW coaches and combines. That would be clearly stated. You inserted ambiguity, I tried to clarify it. You ignored my response and question, then proceded to make a snide remark about my response. I do not appreciate that.
To clarify:
Are you looking for decals or are you looking for the proper number series for the CNW coaches and combines, or both?
You might try http://www.cnwhs.org/
If you are already a MRVP member you could try asking in the most recent Rehab my railroad comments, no idea if it will work, but worth a shot.
I got a Rivarossi 60-foot heavyweight coach and combine undecorated green, which I believe are C&NW prototype. I want to letter them with Microscale C&NW passenger decals, but I can't find the number series for the C&NW coaches and combines. Can anyone help?
