Kind of looks like the highway crossovers used during construction periods doesn't it? Wonder if the railroad plans for the same type of thing?

I saw this interesting piece of trackwork in Yuma, Arizona. on the UP Sunset route. it looka like they didnt need this crossover anymore so they just tore out the frog and left everything else in place. you can also see the tie plate that they spiked over the remaining rail to keep hoses and stuff from snagging on it.
