In which year did the Bangor & Aroostook adopted the blue-white-red "State of Maine Products" paint scheme for its box cars?

Thank you Bear,
Good to know indeed. A well known manufacturer just released one model in HO. It will add some color to my fleet of boxcars that are mostly red or brown.
I remember these cars when I lived along the B&M in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were advertising in motion. Whenever I see a photo of one it brings back fond memories. However, your question has been asked before, and I recall the answer being later than 1950, at least for the one with the multiple colors.

There is a pretty complete discussion at http://thenhrhtanewhavenrailroadforum.yuku.com/topic/6546#.VaLANMvbKUk
It probably lasted from 1953 to 1966.
the Montreal, Maine, and Atlantic Railroad also ran a "State of Maine" Heritage Boxcar beforew that railroad went kaboom (literally and figuritively).

In 1952, PFE leased several of these cars for a number of years to assit with the annual west coast harvest season,in return B&A was provided with PFE cars to assit with the annual spud rush.
