Victor,
Unforetunately, not a purchaser yet, although the great reviews have whetted my appetite. Gotta get the diss done and find a job before I can move beyond the absolute model RR necessity budget I've been on of late.

Interesting story Mike. I'm glad you like the video, and I seem to recall you purchased a copy of my book earlier this year. Thanks. (As the books are numbered, I have a hardcopy list of the book owners but it is quite long.) If you gave me your book number (right hand corner on the inside front cover) I'm sure I'd find your entry. <G>

It may not be hi-def, but it is high value. Lots of great action, even steam!
I loved the freight with one piggyback car ahead of the caboose. Intermodal has sure changed.
I don't model the Wabash, but I do own a piece of the old right of way here in Urbana. It was part of the branch up from Sidney and connected with the P&EI here on the east side of Urbana, running diagonally through. Around 1980, the branch was reconfigured to connect at the east end of what was by then the Conrail yard, instead of the west end nearer to downton. They pulled the tracks through here, then the city took possession of the land, giving adjacent landowners a shot at buying it for the prorated cost of the survey and other work needed to define the land area in relation to bordering property. When I bought the house about ten years later the previous owners had not pursued acquiring it. Given the chance to buy a piece of a RR, I said sure and was fortunate the folks at the city were happy to help me own a piece of the Wabash. It cost me less than $200 for about a thousand SF that took off a corner of the back yard until it was brought square with this purchase.
Great stuff, railroading at it's best-notice the lack of health and safety, just get on with the job and get home.

In previous threads I've referred to the Wabash Fourth District (from my book, Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District) reference the mixed train and other operations. If you wold like to view a condensed version of a video a Wabash Railroader friend made for the WRRRHS that includes the Fourth District, please go to my website at www.erstwhilepublications.com and click on the video tab located on the home page.
