how do you install these parts the hatch and the winter windows? Do you take the other windows out? rambo1..
On the inside of the shell there are a few dimples. The ones closest to the foward rear fan are for the hatch.
As for the all weather window, you *could* do that, but I've seen them just glued in place. They fit over the regular window

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
must I drill out the dimples for the hatch? rambo1..

There are small "pins" coming off the bottom of the winterization hatch casting. You either need to drill out the holes to match the pins, or shave off the pins and glue the hatch in place. On a couple of my units (I don't remember which model) I had to remove or shave down the fan to get the winterization hatch to sit level.
even the sun shades do they go above what looks to be a rain gutter above the side cab windows or under them ? thanks rambo1..
I have to think back to when I assembled my P2K geeps. By prototype, they should go UNDER the strip, but I can't remember how P2K laid theirs out. Personally I have not been a fan of the sunsades provided on the P2K Geep locomotives. I replace mine with A-Line etched brass sunshades. They have a more scale appearance and they seem to resist handling fairly well.

I suggest you go on line and double check, but I am pretty sure the sun shades would go under the drip strip.
Sudden downpour=cranky engineer when drenched. Cranky engineer=great sadness at shop.

There are drilling "Dimples" for the three winter hatch pins on underside of long hood. The sun shades go under the rain gutter, if mounted on top there'd be no reason for the gutter. Might have to trim a little off ends of shades to make the fit better.
