There are two Cheseapeke and Western Baldwin Diesels at a scrap yard in Roanoke VA. They are with the three unpreserved N&W steam engines. Apparently the owner of the scrap yard they are in has died and they have been donated them the the Virginia Transportation Muesum. Here are some links.

There is a great HB book on the C&W. It's called "The Crooked & Weedy" by Charles Grattan Price, Jr. Published in 1991 by the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the NRHS and reprinted in 1993.

Thank you sir,the links were very helpfull.For some reason i had it in my mind the C&W was operated in Indinia.I hope maybe I can return the favor someday.Oh sorry turned off caps lock.

HELLO,DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND ANY INFO ON THE CHESEAPEKE AND WESTERN,I HAVE SEARCHED THE C&O HISTORY INDIANA RAILROAD HISTORY LOOKING FOR PHOTO'S OF PROTOTYPE LOCO'S AND OPERATIONAL DETAILS.
