I am a model railroader whi used to chase real trains. Now I don't live within 25 miles of one. Fond of the milwakee rd and rock island.

Does it have to be exactly that elevator? I have some sources for other, and plans for a 1:29 model of a standard prairie elevator that could be modified for multiple stacks.

I think this is the elevator you are looking for. It was described as "A shot taken at the large group of buildings just outside of Devore." Unfortunately the photo doesn't show enough to be useful.
Edited... the web site I displayed the picture from apparently does not want direct links. You will need to copy/paste this address into your browser:

I did a
Google
search, which you could have done, if your browser includes it as a search resource.

That is after my last visit to Cajon. No wonder I didn't see it. Try contacting Cargill directly with an e-mail. I have contacted several companies that had plants on the PRR in Philadelphia in the mid 50's regarding products made and have gotten responses from most of them which are very helpful. perhaps they could supply pictures and data like car movements.

It's Cargill Grain Co's bulk grain distribution plant between Verdemont and Devore. It was built in 1989 and i'm wondering if I can use Walther's Grain elevator to build something similar

That is a new one on me. At the base of Cajon pass is San Bernadino where the railroad is travelling ESE. It makes a 45 degree turn and a 90 degree turn turning due west right before the San Bernadino station and the Santa Fe shops there. If there is or was a grain elevator there I didn't see it in my travels to the area. Could you be thinking of another pass or location?
