Wonderful! The ROW seems remarkably intact, including the trestles. I wonder why they were not scrapped to help shore up the Milwaukee's finances. Anyway, a great look at an amazingly engineered line. I particularly like the bird's nest.

 

Too little too late on scrapping the trestles, plus this branchline was very profitable for the MILW. (Montana's Golden Triangle) >grain<

Besides (depending on your beliefs) management wasn't trying to save the MILW, they were looking to be acquired.
