ATSF ALCO S-2 zebra paint scheme question

Hi all

I would please like to know if anyone can tell me in which time period the  ATSF Alco S-2 yard switchers locomotives received the zebra stripes paint scheme

I know the scheme was started around 1950

i have a pic of one in this paint scheme in 1952   http://users.snowcrest.net/photobob/sfl68.jpg

so obviously between 1950 and 1952

can anyone be little  more precise and narrow this time period ? possibly from a picture or a book ?

A zebra S2 would be good for the 1940s to early 1960s. 

In 1960 the yellow and blue scheme, sometimes called the "Bookends" scheme, started to appear on Santa Fe switchers.  Although many ended up retired in their zebra stripes before they got repainted into yellow and blue.

You can narrow down the year of zebra stripes a little better by what "ATSF" lettering style was used.  A. T. & S. F. was the earliest.  A T & S F came next.  And A T S F was the last style used.  Note the periods, &, or lack of them.
