Can't let UP get away with stealing the show

but let the museum foot the cost.

Gidday, Not sure if I would call it a case of stealing the show. Personally I'm pleased that any organisation, usually with the help of volunteers, takes the trouble to take up the challenge of preserving history. Well done I say.

Looks fine to me.  The theme was 'Streamliners at Spencer' - A streamlined steamer with all of those streamlined diesels looks good.

 No doubt, the view of all those Es and Fs is a glorious thing.

Actually Ed Dickens manager of the Big Boy restoration is there with the UP streamliner.

Ah,the Railroad man's railroad.

Also the investor's railroad.  Most of the meager dividends Pennsy paid out in the early 1950s were funded by their 30% ownership of N&W, which was paying 6% dividends at the time.
