In addition to those used on CNR's Northerns, they were also used behind CN's Hudsons, and some of their 2-10-2s and Mikes.

A six wheeled tender was extremely rare in North America, and would never have been used with the larger steam engines. 

But perhaps you intended to ask about six axle tenders.  Some of CPR's heavy Pacifics did have them while on specific services, so perhaps it also occurred with the other wheel arrangement and railway.  

A larger tender allowed greater distances between water stops but mostly the regular station stops would provide ample opportunity to take water.  There was little need to carry the extra capacity.  More problematic, the larger tender increased the length of the locomotive.  That meant it became too long for the turntable at many division points.  Hence the four axle tender remained the norm.

Were these ever run with Pacifics or Mikados ?
