The T.R.R.A. Historical Society's excellent "The Zephyr Rocket" (Summer 2012 - Issue 72) notes that there were five tracks under the shed. Aaron Isaac's book "Trackside Around the Twin Cities with Joe Elliott 1968-1972" shows the tracks to be set up like this: Nearest to Washington Avenue (paralleling the station to the south) is one track. Then there's a concrete platform, then two parallel tracks. Then another platform, and two more tracks. Between the single track and the first set of double tracks, there was an umbrella shed running out beyond the large passenger shed - apparently for the trains that were longer than the regular passenger shed.

Give John at Como Shops a call - He has 'station maps' of the depot area.

Hey guys... working the "Train Shed" from Walthers into my layout and am in need of a track plan or overhead photos from the 60's of the Milwaukee Road Station in Minneapolis on Washington Ave. Trying to determine where and how any turnouts were on the prototype track plan. I've Googled until my googler is sore, but no luck. Any hints??
