As to paint schemes, my experience is that that paint schemes for the larger and more popular railroads come and go but more importantly, as a rule sooner or later they come back again. I do not know if you belong to the Southern Pacific Historical Society, but sometimes the railroad historical societies have good inside information about coming products, often because they were called upon to help supply drawings, photos, paint chips or other assistance by the manufacturer.
And finding used N scale black widow Fs at one of their conventions might be more likely than finding it at a general swap meet.
As to N scale wig wags they are shown on this website and I assume are still available

dave vWill any mfg. re-issue or produce any N scale Southern Pacific "Black Widow" F units?
Pickings are thin. They are cataloged by Intermountain, but a quick search did not find any for sale. A few are currently listed on Ebay (one Intermountan, the rest Bachmann)
Microscale Decals "Black Widow" sets #60-201 are available (more than 200 in stock on their site). You could paint your own. In N scale it is really not hard to do.
I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.
Will any mfg. re-issue or produce any N scale Southern Pacific "Black Widow" F units? Also would like to have a few working N scale "Wig Wags". Any available resources or knowelwge on how to obtain such historic and otherwise very cool products?
