Does anyone know of a source for Milwaukee Road heavyweight Pullman decals? I'm interested in '30s to late '40s era. In the past I've gotten fine ones from Streamstyle Graphics, but my latest order has been ignored by them/him for months. Microscale has Pullman decals for the letterboard but the size seems too large for Pullmans run on the Milwaukee. Sadly, the Streamstyle product was perfect.
BADGER2,
Just so you know you were not for gotten,,,I TRIED,for awhile this morning,Checked with H B Klien and called,Microscale,,they have all kinds of decals, for boxcars, hoppers, engines for the MILW,RD...But for some reason, nothing for passenger cars..
Good Luck..
Cheers,
Frank
Nothing for passenger? Hmmm. Try 87-1004 for heavyweight and 87-1371 for the UP style.
SHOOFLY,
UP style,,,,,,Is that for the MILW,RD??
yyyyyyyyyyyyep! Has other partner RR's on it too. yar!
i just looked at it,87-1371 and there is no mention of the MILW,BEING ON THE SET,,,,I don't know..
He can try the 87-1004,,it states that it is for the ''Hiawatha'' 1939-1946...
I tried,that all I can do''
Frank,
That's an error in the listing it's there right next to the CNW lettering in the middle of the sheet. Notice the web listing says Wacash, but the spelling is correct on the decal set. I'll notify them of the error. The sheet is still good for MILW regardless of what the listing says.

Chris,
Thanks,,I didn't blow it up to look,,,,any way,I believe he wants the ones that are from the 1930'sand 40's era...But I believe he said they are too big,the Microscale ones..We got to share stuff,though..Have a good one..
If someone can tell me the size they are supposed to be perhaps i can help
The problem is that the Microscale sets are either too large(gold/bronze lettering) or are the wrong color/font(UP style streamliners for post 1955 passenger cars). I too have been trying to contact Streamstyle Graphics myself for about a week. I think I will try to contact them by phone Thursday(925-413-0117) to see if they are still in business.

Ok like I ask what size is the gold/bronze lettering supposed to be and what is wrong with the color on 87-1371? If people don't share what they feel is wrong with a decal sheet, nothing can be fixed. If you tell a manufacturer that something is too big and not offer the size it's supposed to be then nothing can be adjusted.

Got a reply to my email.from Streamstyle Graphics this morning. Todd Brinkmeier(owner) was on an extended work travel schedule. He has made it through his emails and is shipping the back orders. If you ordered something and it does not arrive soon, give him a call.
I can't be helpful about Milwaukee Road passenger car decals for the 30s and 40s era (other than that I assume they were in the old old Walthers decal catalog) but this website
http://www.greatdecals.com/
has some links to decal sources that are small "basement operators" and not readily found in hobby shops. I found nothing helpful for this inquiry but some folks may not know about the resource.

Be aware that some of the links are dead, which kind of comes with the small manufacturer territory.

I got an email from Todd, too, about the same time. I called him a couple of days ago and had a nice conversation with him. In addition to his travel, he's had a death in the family which has slowed filling orders. Since it was a good (and lengthy) conversation, I'm assuming and hopeful that he'll get orders out. In my limited modeling experience, he seems an example of the small manufacturer who makes specialty items for obscure or limited-interest prototypes which are of great interest to some of us. Todd's products are first-rate and I need them, so I hope he continues in the business. We need more like him since the expensive tooling necessary for most models and detail items isn't profitable unless lots of them sell. Further, with the really beautiful rtr stuff it seems fewer of us are scratch-building or kitbashing anymore (see also, Floquil). Also, in my case, seems like interest in the old Pullman heavyweight models is dying with us as many of us age.
In the meantime, thanks to all of you who responded to my post!
