The film "Peyton Place" was released in 1957. In one of the opening scenes, one of the main characters has to stop for an MEC freight train. From what I remember, the caboose is Harvest Yellow.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

  I have a Walthers 40' flat car that is painted in what I think is 'Harvest Gold' - When did the Maine Central start painting rolling stock in the yellow scheme?
