Thanks Ed, appreciate the help.  Also going to try modeling the table lamps, if my sanity permits.Tongue Tied

Hi K4,

I dug around in my library and came up with a photo and an advertizement. Its a starting place, anyway.

I recall that Budd favored wood veneers in many of their lounges and diners. That certainly was true of the NYC at least. I always admired the unique, trademark PRR cast aluminum table lamps. They were still in use when I rode these cars in '72 and 73 on Amtrak's Broadway.

Of course, an ad might have been "stylized" by the artist. Looks like there's lots of colors going on here! That looks like Raymond Loewy in the brown suit.

Here's another ad photo of a D85c. In this photo I'd have to say the interior has been "updated" to the late '50s or early'60s. This shows one of the aluminum table lamps on the settee to the right. These were clearly visible from the outside of the car. Wouldn't that be a challenge to model!

I have another photo to post of a D82 diner but Photobucket is giving me headaches!

I'll post it when Photobucket is working again...

Hope this helps, ED

Can anyone advised what colors were used on the interior of the Budd built twin dining cars used on the PRR?  I am hoping for colors used during initial construction.

Thanks for any advice!!!
