There has  been a lot posted on B&M double track in the last few weeks on the Yahoo group BM_RR.You would have to join to search messages but that is a rel good group.

An employee timetable for that particular road for the era would tell you.

Or just search for pictures.

A railroad might be double track or have two main tracks for portions of a route and single track for other portions.

Hello,

is there books or information on wether mainline track is two track mainline during the 1940's and 1950's on the B&M, CV and CN. I like the look of double track mainlines and I do not know where this information is available. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Regards Matthew Redden
