The air conditioner on a GE wide-body cab is behind the conductor, on the left side, out behind the cab, with a vent on the equipment box, on top of the sub-base. The item you refer to is the collection of antenna, GPS, and all things transmitted. Only the NS Dash 9's, with sparten cabs, had the a/c on the cab roof. acj.

Hi, I'm superdetailing an Athearn CSX Dash 9 and I noticed a small white box on top of the cab. It is toward the rear of the cab and I believe it is an AC unit but just want to make sure before I go ahead.
