They used Hall Signals ("banjo" signals) in a lot of places.

More modern signals had up to 3 colors in an triangle on each head, yellow and green on the top and red in the center below.

You may find some info HERE or at The Reading Company Technical & Historical Society.  Here's a photo of a Reading disc signal, although they may have used other types, too.
