What color will look best is going to be a function of the type of lighting you are using.  You will have to experiment some to fnd the right shading.

Help with road colors
Posted by tattooguy67 on Friday, October 29, 2010 7:32 PM

Hi everyone, hope the summer found you well! The trouble I am having is choosing a color for the roads on my layout and I need some advice and guidence. So far I have tried Woodland Scenics Asphalt and it seems a bit dark, tried to add some white and to me it does not look right, then I tried WS Concrete and again to me it looks way to beige. Now I think a lot of what makes a road look good is in the weathering which is a whole other issue, but I am afraid if I don't start with something close no amount of smudgeing and dry brushing will help, so do you all have a good formula you could share with me? any info would be great and thanks for reading.

PS when I try to use spell check it says I need to download ieSpell, has anyone done this and did you have any trouble with it?

Chuck.

Is it time to run the tiny trains yet george?! is it huh huh is it?!
