Thanks for the info, grizlump.   It makes me wonder what happened between January and October, 1955.   There are several Oct 30, 1955 B&O condensed passenger timetables currently being offered on EBay and one seller advised me that Indianapolis is listed as a stop three times in that timetable.  With all the downsizing of passenger service in the 1950's, I would not have expected any activation (or re-activation) of new service in 1955.

i just looked in an official guide from january 1955  (you can't much more mid 50's than that)  and it shows the B&O as freight service only just like the NKP ERIE and IC.

Anybody know all the major passenger railroads that served Indianapolis, Indiana during the mid 1950s?  So far, I've verified Monon, PRR, NYC, and B&O.   Any others?

Thanks,

Dave
