The Atlantic City Railroad
Posted by Captain_Bill12 on Monday, April 26, 2010 10:37 AM

I am looking for prototype information on railroading in Atlantic City, New Jersey as it was in the early 40's during the war. What I am currently looking for is maps and pictures that show how the track was laid out through the city and surrounding areas; specifically starting in Atlantic City, NJ working outward. I have a few places I have found some stuff and have a couple of books but I am looking for more information. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

You are in luck.  The Princeton University Library has digitized the Sanborn Insurance Maps for New Jersey.  You will find the maps for Atlantic City at:

Good Hunting,

Thank you for that piece of information. I will check that out and see what they have.
