19th Century maps
Posted by kcole4001 on Saturday, July 18, 2009 10:08 AM

I stumbled upon this site with quite an extensive collection of late 1800s vintage maps, many of which include railways and key areas of interest (industry/mining) and the relavant topography.

To download the maps, choose the 'export' function in the upper right area.

There's also a downloadable viewer (MrSID viewer) for the map files so you can pick out detail, the overviews are too far out for specifics.

...these are mainly late 1890s/turn of century maps...
