CP freight cars

Those are older cars, 41 footers built in the teens and twenties and renumbered to the 307xxx series in the late 1940s. These were completely purged from active rosters by the early 1980s, and would have been few and far between for years before that. (I'll have to check my 1975 ORER to see how many were still in service then. I don't have it handy at the moment.)

Photos of these will be hard to find on-line, if they exist. There's none at freight.railfan.ca or rr-fallenflags.org

A good reference for CP equipment is John Riddell's "Canadian Pacific Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment" published by Morning Sun books. I have a copy, and I'll have to check to see if it has any photos of 307xxx series cars in it.
