Pennsy handrail paint?

Yes they are yellow. How far they are painted yellow requires a picture of the individual engine as it varied. As a rule of thumb up to the first stancion will serve you well. Some engines had the vertical surface of the step and the same surface on the footboards painted yellow also. I find the best color to use is Railbox yellow.

The Atlas Pennsylvania RS1 was factory painted entirely brunswick green. I thought the Pennsy painted the rails for the steps yellow as a company policy. Am I mistaken? I am thnking of painting these. Does anyone have a photo?
