I live in Québec(city) but have lived most of my life in Valleyfield, about 40 Kms. from Rigaud, and still have a friend who lives in Hudson, right next to it.If I knew what exactly you're looking for,it is possible I could dig some info for you. Can't help you any about Eastman and Mont-Joli however as I've never been there and couldn't find info that you couldn't find yourself on the web.

My suggestion...try typing those city names on your search engine and see what may come up.I'd also try Canadian National's website, may be that they have a historical dept. who would help you.Rigaud is in the South/West portion of the province of Québec and I know that New-York Central had regular freights in this area(Valleyfield for one)so it may be that they had business in Rigaud.

Alain,
Have you contacted Musée ferroviaire canadien de Delson/St-Constant ? 120, rue Saint-Pierre, Saint-Constant QC J5A 2G9, (450) 638-1522

I copied the above from their Web site, since I do not have much French language skill. From what I can translate, it would seem that they might know of a source for the information about your area in 1955 that you are seeking.

It doesn't appoear that any of us are familiar with that area as you haven't gotten any responses. You may need to contact someone in Canada to obtain what you are after.
