Plans needed: EMD F-40PH
Posted by vsmith on Thursday, December 13, 2007 10:22 AM

Plans needed: EMD F-40PH, the classic Amtrak brick of an engine, side plan view is needed.

Anyone got a good source?

Does the Locomotive Cyclopedia vol 2 on Dismals have plans for this?

Thanks Vic

June 1983 Mainline Modeler article by Bob Zenk.  Besides scale drawings of top, sides, front, and rear, also has isometrics of the three phases showing differences among them

Hello Vic,

You can also see the "Model Railroader" plan listed below:

Electro-Motive's F40PH locomotive
Model Railroader, April 1987 page 78
( AMTK, DIESEL, DRAWING, EMD, F40PH, "HEDIGER, JIM", MBTA, METRA, NJT, VIA, ENGINE,
LOCOMOTIVE, PROTOTYPE, MR )

You can order MR back issues bu clicking on "shop," above, or order photocopies of MR drawings from back issues that are out of print.

Merry Christmas.
