I read in a book that you can use extra strength hair spray as a spray glue. It will be fairly weak though Imagine, but good for like grass

I use something called Mod Podge. Available from Wally world and craft stores. It comes in matte and gloss. Use the matte. I mix 50% Mod Podge, 40% water and 10% rubbing alcohol. It dries just as flat as the commercial stuff. I've found that those finger pump hair spray bottles work good for a sprayer.

I have never had much luck spraying glue.

I mix white glue 50:50 (approximately) with water and add a few drops of liquid dish soap.  I spray (spray bottle from the hardware store plants section) wet water to fully wet the area to be glued.  I then dribble on the glue mixture until everything sits in a small puddle.  This works great for ballast and ground foam.

Thanks for putting up with my ribbing, Jeff. Smile [:)]

I haven't done it yet so I can't really give you an honest answer.  However, I think it's in the 3:1 ratio range of water to glue.  Someone with more experience with this can correct me.  That's the ratio I use for spay...uh, gluing down ballast.

Jeff,

Well, it should at least cut down on your vet bills. Laugh [(-D]  What will science come up with next?!? (Hint: Jeff, this may be a sticky point but...you may want to add an "r" in "spaying" in the subject line to remove any more confusion.)

Looking back in the archives it looks to me that most of you recomend Aileens or Elmers white glue to mix and spray. It this true. It won't dry shiny will it? What ratio do I use say for doing ballast work? Thanks everyone. Jeff
