Thaly's or hghspeed rail layout

Has anyone setup a Thaly's or highspeed rail layout. was thinking of doing a thaly's passenger setup and a freight setup on the same layout. anyone have any suggestions?[8D]

As a matter of fact my HO layout is patterned after the British double track main line system.
HST 125 (2 diesel power cars + 7 cars) sets lap my 2.6 (scale) miles continuous running loop at scale speeds of over 150 mph. Anything faster looks a bit silly.
Park those Briti***rains in hidden staging and I've got a veritable race track for 50 plus car US freight trains.

I've heard of a British club layout called "Stoke Summit" that looks to be something like your idea. Basically it's a stretch of main line modelled in OO Scale on which various correct train formations are operated.
