I'd suggest getting a simple DC lamp tester to check your connections.
The turnouts are power routing so you should be able to park a train in the siding, throw both turnouts & run another train. If you set up 2 circles it will be very easy to run 2 trains on their own circuit.
EZ track is a sectional track with a plastic base. Be sure to get the gray plastic nickel-silver and avoid the steel black base stuff . Makes better connections & won't rust. Paint wil make it look better. Assembling track sections is easy but you still have to be sure to get the rail in the joiner for a smooth joint.
Have fun with your little empire!

It really wouldn't be any different from any other sort of track--I assume that you can use insulated rail joiners in between the sections of EZ-Track to prevent electrical connection?
You can either wire for two-cab control (the old-fashioned but labor-intensive way) or install DCC (the newfangled but expensive way.) Wiring for cab control involves dividing your layout into separate electrical blocks which can be controlled by one of two cabs through the use of DPDT switches. DCC involves putting a decoder module in each engine and buying a DCC controller unit, and I think some relatively minor (as in less than cab control) wiring.

I need some help here. First off I hate to sound stupid but...How can I wire EZ Track to allow me to run 2 trains on it? I have a 4x8 layout. I will be adding a 2 or 3 x6 yard in the near future. Any help and guidance is GREATLY appreciated!
