I remove the "slotted" tie and use an Atlas rail joiner.  To fill the gap, I slip a tie with the "spike heads" removed under the rail.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

What is the best way to join Peco turnouts (code 80) to Atlas flextrack (code 80)?  The Peco turnouts have a small slot in the ties for the connector, but it is too tight for the Atlas connectors.  Should I use Peco connectors (I heard they dont fit well with Atlas track) or try to remove the last ties on the turnout and place them under the connection afterwards?
