Good hints in the above post. You don't say what era you are interested in. I'd decide what period you want to model and from there decide on a SINGLE scene you want to create. This will help focus your search and energy. From there move to a single element in the scene: structure, piece of equipment or topography. That, in my experience is the best method to actually produce some results. Good luck

Try www.walthers.com and do a search on fire or fire equipment. I think you will even find a house on fire. Much of what I have seen is current European equipment.

This site has a beautiful fire truck from an earlier age:

You might also try: http://www.1-87vehicles.org/ Currently, there is an emergency scene about 2/3 of the way down the home page.

HELP
Posted by fire481 on Wednesday, November 19, 2003 2:20 PM
I am in the process of building a layout no issues yet with that. My main problem is with finding information on various scenery ideas. I am in the Fire service so will be doing some scenes of emergency equipment. Looking for information on what to use for various sizes of hose and nozzels etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You GENE
