Has anyone used these much?  My new layout plan uses 2 of them in crossovers and I'm wondering how general engines do on avoiding deadspots.  I've already seen where someone had issues with a yard switcher with a wheelbase that was perfectly matched to the two plastic frogs, but what about steam and road diesels?  Particularly I have a Bachman 4-8-4 Northern and a E-R Models Baldwin RF-16 Sharknose A-B pair.

Better yet, does anyone have actual dimensions for the distance between and length of the plastic frogs on it?
