You have power routing turnouts. For the passing siding you insulate both of the diverging legs of the turnout in both rails to avoid shorts. The spur turnouts need the leg that connects with the oval to be insulated in both rails. The leg leading to the dead end does not need to be insulated since that leg will only have power when the turnout is thrown that way (don't attach power feeder wires to that dead end leg) . You attach wires to the main part of the loop and both tracks of the passing siding. "Wiring Turnouts" and "Mind the Gaps and don't Feed the Frogs" are two articles on this site on the Model Railroader --> Controls and Electircal page that have some helpful diagrams.
Good luck

Wiring for small Hon3 layout

I am finally to the point of attempting wiring for the small layout I designed. The problem is the Shinohara Hon3 turnouts. WHERE do I isolate a section electrically for power to the divering route? The track plan is a simple as I could make it- an oval with a passing siding and two turnouts for short spurs. Thanks for your help! Carlwaynetrains
