Need help with 4x6 or 4x8 under & over track plans for under the tree.

First off I am new here but not to trains, have had N, HO, & O27 all my life.

I am looking to replocate what I had under the tree as a kid now under my own Christmas tree. As a kid I had an HO over & under twice around on a 4x6 layout which is what I am looking to build and because this is under the tree I don't want to go nuts with prototype operation, just something easy, neat & fun to operate for a month or two.

I know I am limited to the size & what not for 4x6 (any 4x6 plan I could stretch to a 4x8) or 4x8 track plans and I have ideas but I have learned it helps to ask for some as other people have good ideas also. I don't want the layout to be cluttered and I would like to have the majority of the middle of the layout open for the tree & some houses and swicth sideings to park loco's & some cars. The one I had as a kid I could also park a full train on as well.

I am not looking to build this layout until Spring/Summer I am just now in the planning stages.

Anyone have any track plans or info on an over & under twice around please let me know. Thanks!
