Bachmann E-Z Track #6 Crossover Switch
Posted by asrothzeid on Saturday, October 11, 2003 8:48 AM
I brought the Bachmann HO E-Z Track #6 Crossover Track and found out that the crossover and the parallel tracks are not electrically isolated. Short of spending more money to convert to DCC operation, is there a way to isolate the tracks without having to rip the switch up?

Cut a gap in the rails with a dremel tool or some other metal saw. Fill in the gap with some insulating material, and they're insulated.

Conversely, you could isolate the crossover in to a block itself, and just not leave engines on it.
