Turntable indexing with DCC

 Indexing, I dunno. That would be more complex than worth it, usign DCC. But you can drive the motor with a decoder, and by setting the start volts, mid volts, and max volts all close you can limit the speed so that even if you crank the throttle wide open it still turns slowly. If the turntable is right up front you can eyeball it just like the real thing.
 It might be possible to hook up a stationary decoder to a commercial indexing system to allow selection which track, but this would require some interface circuitry and probably would be more cumbersome that then indexer's normal selection switch.

I want to be able to use my computer and DCC to control the speed of rotation & indexing of a CMR 130' turntable.  Has anyone had any experience with a setup like this.  I also have a Walthers bascule bridge that I want to control the speed and stopping points of.  I would greatly appreciate any information or maybe Web sites  with any related info.  I have a Digitrax Super Chief with Radio Control.  Tweet
