An MRC Control Master 20 is rated at 5 amps.

I have a mix of engines, some require 1amp and others like the newest atlas engines need up to 6.
Wow, In this day and age of high efficiency can motors, that is hard to believe. That sounds almost like something they would have done in the 1950s.  So if that is true, no the Control Master 20 is not sufficient.

mrc controlmaster 20 and amps question
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, September 2, 2006 4:17 PM

Hello, i am building a small o scale railroad(2-rail) and im going for simple dc operation at first.

Im lookin into buying a few MRC control master 20 powerpacks because they seem to have quite a bit of power and walkaround throttle.

My question is, how much amps does the control master 20 have and will it be enough for a small o scale railroad ?

I have a mix of engines, some require 1amp and others like the newest atlas engines need up to 6.

How are the control master 20 units in terms of quality and the way they handle the trains ?

Thanks
