Glen IGNORE all that.
All you do is run a GROUND WIRE from Ground of the DCS100 to the GROUND of the DB150. #12awg is plenty. This is a REFERENCE and PHASING ground that takes the laod off the loconet for that job.
1. DO NOT connect the ground to anything from the house, water pipe etc.
2. DO NOT make a loop, not good.
3. DO refernce the owners manual for the DB150 and put a JUMPER from CONF "A" to the GROUND. This tells the DB150 it is the salve not master and it will boot that way.
This is how I have (1) dsc100 and (5) DB150's wired and they work perfect.
IF you have a large layout and your ground run is over 60 ft long you MAY want to use #10 awg solid like I did. (ground run was 78 ft.)

im expanding to a addtional booster to my layout.
ive got my dsc 100 and im adding a db 150 digitrax.
and i read on a site to ground the cases together which is also in the manual for the system.
but to also disable pin #2 and #5 in the loconet cable between the boosters.
for the reason of ground loops and boosters fighting or corupt data in the network.
has anyone done this? or not?
any problems?
