Simon. Your are correct. Both the Railway Express Agency and Moxie Billborards were built from Bar Mills Kits. The rest were scratched using paper signs.

The RR Express agency is a Bar Mills model for sure as I have one. I suspect that some of them are scratch built as well.

Where did you get your billboard frames, or did you make those yourself?

Mate,

I never cease to be amazed how clever some people are compared to me. I love the bits of newspaper lying around under the guys painting the billboard. And an old tyre!! The bushes and tufts of grass look so great too.

You have turned me into an addict. As soon as I see your name I have to have a look at the photos.

I agree with with your title that billboards do make great scenery additions.

A great way to establi***he period or era your modeling in is with billboards. Besides being a great scenery filler, Billboards help establi***he mood or theme of your railroad. Billboards come in every shape and size, even in the real world. So you can use just about anything from kits to scratch when building them.
