You can. A couple of difficulties. One if the code size is different you'll need to shim the smaller one, use transition rail joiners, or use transitional track sections. If you use the kind with roadbed attached you'll probably have to blunt the roadbed ends and shim one of the them. Same if one has roadbed and the other doesn't (use cork or homasote roadbed bought separately). Appearancewise it's a personal thing, some ballast, a little weathering no one will notice the difference.
Unless you're looking to use track you already have, I would pick one kind and stick with it just to eliminate potential problems.
Take your time and sight along the rail to make sure everything is smooth with no kinks.
Enjoy
Paul

I reading alot about the different tracks(I.E. Atlas, Peco, Walthers, etc., etc.,), how different are they in appearance??? Can I mix and match them or will someone notice different "styles" of track?????
Also I'm looking to build a layout in a "horseshoe" in a 12' x 16' room. I'm was thinking to use the "power-Loc" track system inconjunction with Atals Code 83 track. Is this a god idea or is it a bad idea!!???!!???
