GE Dash 8-40 CW

Hi, I have a spectrum GE DASH 8-40 CW. Stock# 86008. The body has a crack in it. Can I order a new body for it. If so where can I get one. Plus I would like to get a detail kit if they have one. Thanks if anyone can help.

I did not find any shells for the Bachman 86008, and given that it is discontinued, you may be better served by trying to find a complete used unit.

Are you missing any pieces on your shell? If not, have you thought about repairing it?

Is there another body that will fit on it. from another era. Since it was discontinued.

Yes, that is the same type of body.

I can not answer you question about what other shells will fit your frame. Unless someone can give you the info your looking for, you may want to consider the repair or used options.

I used to have 3 of those spectrum dash 8s. You can email bachmann, but they sometimes dont answer. Calling is better. Once you get ahold of them they should be able to help. I got replacement drive shafts a copule times with no trouble.
