Interesting idea. I haven't had too many problems with any of my Atlas Code 83, yet. One suggestion - jumper all the way over to the point rail, because if the solder joins the crimped part there to the stock rail, the turnout will stick or maybe not even move.

Soldering to the little tabs is easier and the wires are out of the way of ballasting which will surely jam the points if the wire goes out to the point rail. Once the tab is tinned the wire solders quickly and there is little chance of soldering the point rail to the stock rail.

Just a thought

Looks great Harold!

You mention on the website that you cant find the liquid flux. Try looking at http://www.digikey.com I get liquid flux form them but maybe it is not what you need,

The only reason I bought the paste flux at RadioShack was I couldn't find my tube of liquid flux. I just find the gooey liquid so much easier to use. I have had the tube for a long time and there is still a lot left. There are several sites on the net with liquid rosin flux.

Thanks for visiting
