Model Power "N" Decoder Installation

I just installed a Lenz decoder in a Model Power 4-6-2. What a piece of cake. This loco is truely DCC ready. All of the wires are run to the tender. Take out two screws and the tender shell comes off. Unsolder the wires, match the colors with the decoder and resolder, a little heat shrink, insulate with a little scotch tape and Walla!!! The only drawback, and it's not a problem for me, is the light always is on, because I didn't want to wrestle with the boiler shell and try to isolate the light wiring..
What about the other MP N Scale locos? Are they all set up this way. I love not having to take the boiler shell off. I still have a Bachmann Connie and two Atlas diesels to do and I don't think it's going to be that easy.. The diesels, OK, because I have done them before.. The Connie??????? [:D]
