Whats the best way to make grass and also how to lay it properly. My dad is making it right now out of sawdust and it seems to work well. Is there other ways to make it. Also how to lay it.
I like NS but CSX has the B&O.

I've found that if you give it good watering in the early spring, along with a high nitrogen fertilizer, it will grow like crazy! If you have a wet spring, you'll probably need to cut it every 3 to 5 days! Late fall application of lower nitrogen fertilizer and a generous application of good quality seed will get you up and going in the spring. Don't cut new seedings until at least 2" tall and don't cut off more than an inch at a time, otherwise you could end up...... what? 'MODEL" grass? Oh, never mind!

If the sawdust is working well, go ahead and use it. If sawdust is the ONLY thing you've ever used, you might want to try some of the Woodland Scenics grasses. Sawdust or WS, use varied coloring to give you grass a more realistic appearance.
