Opinions/suggestions on my track plan?

I tried to follow the ideas in John Armstrong's "Track Planning for Realistic Operation" in coming up with this design. Now I know everything isn't perfect, and I haven't test fit any track yet to make sure my clearances will be exact, but from a 'this is what I plan to start with' standpoint, here's my track plan.

The layout will be in HO scale, approximately 17x20' with a 4x8 peninsula. Top left is a stubend railyard with car/loco maintenance areas, top center and right is city industrial, peninsula is a local shortline, right middle and bottom is the coal mine and mountainous area, and lower middle and left will be rural farmland.

Double track mainline, 30" minimum, 22" minimum sidings and spurs, with 15" minimum in industrial areas, shortline is 18" minimum. The backdrop is squared off in the picture, but it will be rounded on the actual layout, it's just on there for reference.
