Extruded foam sheets in the Los Angeles area?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 17, 2005 5:19 PM

Hi,
does anyone living in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area know where to find an 8x4 sheet of extruded 1" or 2" foam?

Thanks!

Apparently Home Depot can find some for you...they may have to get some in. Someone else was in the same boat about 15 weeks back, and found some at the Blossom Hill depot in San Jose.

Every Home Depot I have been in had stacks of it in both 1" and 2" thicknesses. Even our local lumber yard carried it in 1" thickness. Or call any local building contractor and see where they get theirs.

Both the major makers of the foam have services to direct you to vendors in your area. I posted the details here a few months ago

if that link doesn't work for my specific reply, here's the whole thread

And for some reason, I did not mention the pink foam supplier (Owens-Corning) in that thread originally. Owens-Corning has an on-line dealer locator. You will be looking for FOAMULAR insulation.
