Go for it !!! I'm glad to see someone else's train room that looks just like mine.

My layout is in a 12x12-ish bedroom, using the closet area too. Got the light blue sky color on the walls first. I just got the track lights put up last week. The benchwork framing is done, everything on heavy braced shelf hangers tied in to wall studs. The layout is around the walls and over a lift gate at the door. Twice around the room is one lap of the main line. A passenger station, industrial area (in the closet), coal mine, and visible 4 track double-ended staging will give tons of operation possibilities.

There's a steel desk with rollers that slides under one spot for a workbench. A twin bed with a built up backrest doubles as a couch and occasional guest sleeping. Book and junk (valuables) shelving underneath. My wife has promissed curtains to cover that. Walk-around block control is the plan. Generic Norfolk and Western scenery for 50's or modern operations. It could happen !!! Gotta lay some track !!!

Well here is a pic of the trainroom with the kids toys and whatnot. I have an old love seat and sofa to rest on. A small T.V. with a vcr to watch train videos and a stereo to play my grandpa's old train records.I still have odd end lumber left over from my previous layouts benchwork. Need to hang some pictures and straighten up a bit but its a nice place to be.
